At Vipkids, the safety of every child is always our top priority. That is why we work according to the four-eyes principle: children are never left alone with one childcare worker for extended periods without a second adult present who can observe or listen in. In this way, we ensure a trusted and safe environment and a professional working atmosphere in which the risks of unsafe situations are minimized as much as possible.
In practice, this is ensured in various ways. Our pedagogical professionals continuously observe and support each other, for example by having multiple colleagues present in the group or in the immediate vicinity at the same time, and by arranging the spaces to optimize sightlines and overview. Additionally, camera surveillance is deployed so that there is always an extra pair of eyes when needed. This gives staff the flexibility to act quickly and appropriately within the agreed procedures and ensures that children always feel safe.
Moreover, our childcare spaces are designed to be transparent, with windows and open layouts. Parents and visitors can naturally observe what is happening in the group, which contributes to a sense of openness and trust.
In addition, we use cameras at our locations. The cameras are deployed exclusively to ensure the safety of the children and to prevent incidents. The footage is carefully monitored and used only for safety purposes, in accordance with privacy legislation.
